Nordic Walking taster sessions in East Lindsey

NORDIC walking, one of the world’s fastest growing fitness activities, is coming to Louth and Skegness, as part of a health programme for the local community.
To give local people a chance to try the activity, East Lindsey District Council is holding free taster sessions in both areas.
Using specially designed poles, Nordic Walking uses all major muscles in the body and burns 20% – 40% more calories than ordinary walking.
Exercise Referral Specialist at the Council, Chris Hancock, explained; “Nordic Walking is a great form of exercise and gives you a full body workout. The best thing is that the poles actually propel you along so it is really easy to do.”
Introductory Free Taster sessions are being held at Hubbards Hills with the poles being provided:
